CURVET expands DFI's technology in the European market
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, February 2003- Italian glass manufacturer CURVET
(Gruppo Industriale Curvet), Europe's leader in the fabrication of specialty curved
glass, has been expanding DFI's hydrophobic technology, CURVET
shield, in the European market. A recent strategic marketing meeting
between DFI (exclusive licensor of the patented hydrophobic technology) and
CURVET (licensee and marketing partner for the Italian glass sector) that
took place in Bottega di Corbordolo, Italy, has been reported by both companies
as very positive and promising.
Mr. Roberto Bartolucci, President and Managing Director of CURVET, very pleased
after meeting with DFI's VP and Executive Director Guillermo U. Seta, reported:
"Our solid customer base in Europe's been very keen and interested in DFI's
technology and we've been noticing a consistent progressive increase in our glass
orders receiving CURVET shield treatment, which clearly indicates the very good
reception and satisfaction with DFI's enhanced hydrophobic technology. This added-value
that DFI's technology provides is very important to Curvet since it reflects our
core business by remaining up-to-date with the most innovative and latest technology
applied in the glass industry."

CURVET is the only company
in Europe that is able to produce bent glass of every type with unique and innovative
solutions for every sector. A twenty-year experience in glass bending and the most
advanced equipment have made CURVET a leading company in the field. The differentiation
in equipment and the resulting flexibility are the key factors of Curvet's success,
the only company so far to carry out the whole processing of flat glass into any
kind of curved finished product. Curvet is also a manufacturer of tempered, laminated
and security glass and has distribution and sales offices in Germany and
the US.
Diamon FusionĀ®
is a proprietary process (patented technology) of growing an optically clear film
from the inside of the glass (or any other silica-based surface) out, filling the
microscopic ridges of the substrate and then 'capping' it, creating a long lasting
hydrophobic (water repellent) film. This film is permanently attached to the substrate,
prevents damage and dramatically reduces the time required to maintain treated surfaces
in residential, commercial, automotive or any other industrial applications.
