Ionics Lab of Italy reaffirms DFI’s innovative technology

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, June 2002- Diamon-Fusion International, Inc. (DFI), award winner of the “Innovative Product of the Year”, has received very high reviews in a recent interview held in Pesaro, Italy, to Glass Scientist Guglielmo Macrelli, of Ionics Lab (an independent laboratory that has performed extensive research & development for many major glass manufacturers throughout Europe, and an expert in glass science and hydrophobicity).

Mr. Guglielmo Macrelli, very impressed with Diamon-Fusion®’s innovative properties, stated: "I have not seen in years of R&D in hydrophobic coatings, any technology capable of creating a molecular change in the substrate, a chemical bond that is truly amazing; the vapor deposition method also makes the production process extremely efficient in several aspects, which is an enormous advantage over other alternate products, mostly spray-on types and with many limitations”.

Diamon-Fusion® is a proprietary process (patented technology) of growing an optically clear film from the inside of the glass (or any other silica-based surface) out, filling the microscopic ridges of the substrate and then “capping“ it, creating a long lasting hydrophobic (water repellent) film. This film is permanently attached to the substrate, prevents damage and dramatically reduces the time required to maintain treated surfaces in residential, commercial, automotive or any other industrial applications.
