DFI and INVECA PITTSBURGH of Venezuela reach strategic alliance agreement on licensing of Diamon Fusion® nanocoating
Diamon Fusion International, Inc. (DFI), global developer and exclusive
supplier of the Diamon Fusion® patented nanotechnology, reached a license
agreement and strategic alliance with INVECA PITTSBURGH, C.A., Venezuela’s
largest and most reputable glass manufacturer of security laminated and tempered
glasses, both curved and flat, for the Architectural and Automotive markets.
INVECA PITTSBURGH, C.A., a 39-year privately-owned Venezuelan corporation and a technological leader in the Andean Region, is a QS-9000 / ISO-9002 certified company and is a licensee of PPG Inc., one of the world’s leading manufacturers of flat and fabricated glass, among other products. A few of INVECA PITTSBURGH’s customers include: General Motors Venezolana, Daimler Chrysler de Venezuela LLC, PPG Industries, MAZDA Colombia (Compañía Colombiana Automotriz), Mack de Venezuela C.A, Fanabus and Encava.
Mike Zeigen, Managing Director of INVECA PITTSBURGH C.A., reported: "The addition of DFI's nanotechnology on our glass products is in line with our philosophy of continuous improvement to achieve excellence in quality and service; particularly, this strategic alliance with DFI carries a lot of technological innovation that may literally revolutionize the local market place in Venezuela and the Andean region."
“This strategic alliance with INVECA PITTSBURGH reflects our focus in teaming up with industry leaders on a global basis and further expands our market positioning in South America”, stated Guillermo Seta, DFI’s Vice President and Executive Director of DFI Global Operations.
DFI’s nanotechnology multi-functional characteristics include: water and oil repellency (hydrophobic and oleophobic), impact and scratch resistance, protection against graffiti, dirt and stains, finger print protection, UV stability, additional electrical insulation, protection against calcium and sodium deposits and increased brilliance and lubricity. DFI’s nanocoating, a patented process, works at nanoscale levels to change the molecular composition of any silica-based surface. Diamon Fusion® provides a cross-linked, branched, and ‘capped’ coating along with a strong and durable covalent bond.
