AVIS Alaska
licensed to apply Diamon-Fusion®
to rental fleet
SAN CLEMENTE
– (BUSINESS WIRE)—March 2007- Diamon-Fusion
International, Inc. (DFI Nanotechnology), global developer and
exclusive licensor of the Diamon-Fusion® patented
hydrophobic nanotechnology, announced its expansion into the Alaskan
market with the signing of a license (in Alaska) with NexGen
LLC to further expand its northern exposure in the
US market, granting DFI’s newest Licensee (NexGen) certain exclusive
rights
within the
State of Alaska.
The recent license agreement
signed with NexGen LLC, a privately-held company of very
innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, made an immediate impact in
the Alaskan territory by bringing Diamon-Fusion®
nano-coating to a NEW market arena: rental cars. Alaska Rent A Car,
Inc., dba Avis Rent A Car, has already signed
up to provide its fleet of cars with Diamon-Fusion® to
add value to its customers by offering safer driving
conditions. Established in 1955, the
locally owned, and internationally recognized, Avis
agency was renting cars before Alaska became a state. NexGen was
formed “to offer Alaskans the acclaimed Diamon-Fusion ® surface
treatment”, as claimed in NexGen’s
recently launched website.
DFI’s
flagship Diamon-Fusion® patented nanocoating is
being distributed to highly reputable companies on a global basis,
including industry leaders DuPont, ALCOA, MOEN, Curvet (Italy), Cricursa
(Spain), Prelco Group (Canada), Cristacurva
(Mexico), among many others.
Koji Gailey,
Business Partner of NexGen, who brokered the
licensing of AVIS RENT A CAR Alaska, reported: “We are excited
to become a member of the Diamon-Fusion® family. The Diamon-Fusion®
coating is the perfect solution for the foul weather we face on a
daily basis. We have already received an overwhelming response and
are proud to offer such innovative nanotechnology here in
Alaska.”
Gary
Zimmerman, General Manager of AVIS Alaska, commented:
“We are always looking to improve driver’s safety and the
overall driving experience for our customers. Diamon-Fusion®
nano-coating certainly addresses this core aspect for us.”
Bruce
Ticknor, DFI’s Director of New Market Development, stated:
“Alaska is a natural market for Diamon-Fusion®; the application
of our patented nano-coating to AVIS cars provides great safety
features (to the drivers) under such adverse weather conditions by
adding visibility and ease of ice removal, among other
properties.”
DFI Nanotechnology
multi-functional characteristics include: water and oil repellency
(hydrophobic and oleophobic), impact and scratch
resistance, protection against graffiti, dirt and stains, finger
print protection, UV stability, additional electrical insulation,
protection against calcium and sodium deposits and increased
brilliance and lubricity. DFI’s nanocoating works at nanoscale
levels to change the molecular composition of any silica-based
surface. Diamon-Fusion® provides, in chemical
terms, a ‘cross-linked’, ‘branched’ and ‘capped’ optically clear
nano-film
along with a strong and durable covalent bond.
