ON DFI NANO-COATING
SAN CLEMENTE
- (BUSINESS WIRE) - May 2007- Diamon-Fusion
International, Inc. (DFI Nanotechnology), global developer and
exclusive licensor of the Diamon-Fusion® patented
hydrophobic nanotechnology, signed a 5-year license
renewal with Italian glass manufacturer CURVET
(Curvet Holding Group), one of the world’s leaders
in the fabrication of specialty curved glass in the architectural
field, including a wide range of market segments such as home
furnishings, urban design, refrigerated display cases, freezer
doors, lighting and the
marine industry.
Curvet, a
30-year Italian privately-held Holding Group, is
the only company in Europe that is able to produce bent glass of
every type with unique and innovative solutions for every sector.
The differentiation in equipment and the resulting flexibility are
the key factors of Curvet's success, the only company to carry
out the whole processing of flat glass into any kind of curved
finished product. Curvet is also a
manufacturer of tempered, laminated and security glass and has
distribution and sales offices throughout Europe
and the US (under Curvet USA).
Roberto
Bartolucci, Managing Director of CURVET Holding
Group, reported: “We are pleased to renew our
Diamon-Fusion® license for another 5 years; it’s been a very good
addition to our line of glass products since it clearly adds value
plus our customers have been extremely satisfied with all its
benefits and actual results. We still find DFI’s nano-coating to be
the very best in the market place today from an overall value
standpoint, there’s truly no comparison.”
Guillermo
Seta, Executive Director of DFI Global
Operations, stated: "The renewal of Curvet’s license is
a solid testimony to an excellent partnership and the great results
we’ve accomplished in working together. Curvet provides not only an
outstanding business reference for us but, most importantly, a very
savvy partner to work with.”
DFI Nanotechnology
multi-functional characteristics include: water and oil repellency
(hydrophobic and oleophobic), impact and scratch
resistance, protection against graffiti, dirt and stains, finger
print protection, UV stability, additional electrical insulation,
protection against calcium and sodium deposits and increased
brilliance and lubricity. DFI’s nanocoating works at nanoscale
levels to change the molecular composition of any silica-based
surface. Diamon-Fusion® provides, in chemical
terms, a ‘cross-linked’, ‘branched’ and ‘capped’ optically clear
nano-film
along with a strong and durable covalent bond.
