Automotive Glass - Buses/Trains/ Subways, etc. There are many differential advantages Diamon-Fusion® holds over any other hydrophobic coating. DFI’s technology can be applied in the field, on existing vehicles, as well as new vehicles with an industrial-type application. Every other treatment being marketed as a coating for auto glass are only selling on the attribute of making the drivers vision clearer in bad weather and making the windshield easier to clean. Diamon-Fusion® not only offers those benefits, but also makes the glass harder to scratch or break. (see test results : an object must weigh ten times more to cause the same damage to a Diamon-Fusion® treated surface than an untreated one).

In addition, Diamon-Fusion® has improved durability, being less affected by the abrasion caused by the windshield wipers.

Diamon-Fusion® also aids in the removal of snow and ice, a benefit that is of much greater value in certain regions of the world.

Marine Glass - With excellent results on the accelerated salt spray tests (five hundred and four hours of exposure), Diamon-Fusion® is well positioned for the marine glass market. This includes the whole gamut of marine products from race boats to yachts and cruise ships.



Windscreens - Exterior glass windscreens have become popular in the last ten years. In addition, homes may have windscreens on their balconies, decks and around pools. Diamon-Fusion® solves the problem of sprinklers over spraying such glass surfaces by making the glass more water repellant. Water spots take longer to appear and when they do appear, are much easier to remove. Thus, required maintenance is less frequent. The Diamon-Fusion® treatment makes it so that dirt and debris run right off.

Glass Shower Enclosures - Well known for being difficult to clean and maintain. The major cleaning product manufacturers like Proctor & Gamble and Lysol have all followed suit in bringing daily shower sprays to market. With a single application lasting for years, Diamon-Fusion® virtually eliminates the need for those daily shower sprays. With Diamon-Fusion®, all that is needed to maintain the treated glass is a splash of clean water after each shower and an occasional swipe with a body scrubber (similar to the one used with soft soap for your skin).

Sandblasted or Etched Glass - This popular application is used for two main purposes. Architects will specify sandblasted glass as a means for allowing light to come in to a room while still holding privacy. The inherent problem with this type of glass is that it stains very easily and shows fingerprints that typically cannot be removed. DFI has developed an Etched and Sandblasted Cleaner that allows us to restore most etched surfaces back to their original state prior to applying the Diamon-Fusion® process. Once Diamon-Fusion® has been applied, in many cases, fingerprints will no longer show themselves and in those cases where they do, they are now easily removed. The glass also becomes water repellant so any water that prior to treatment would have created a dark and wide stain now beads up and runs off (hydrophobic effect).

Skylights: Residential - The use of skylights in homes has increased significantly over recent years, especially in the US market. More architects are designing interesting geometric shaped skylights as part of the homes’ overall design and not just simply as a way of bringing in more natural light. With the advent of high performance glasses that can control heat, light and ultra-violets, many applications previously thought to be poor locations are now being used. The problem that up until now had not been solved was the difficult maintenance that is required because of the access problems. Diamon-Fusion® solves this and other problems related to skylights. Customers who have had Diamon-Fusion® put on their existing skylights have made comments like the following: "Before I had Diamon-Fusion®, every time it rained I would get mud trails on the skylights. Now every time it rains all the dirt and bird droppings runs right off and it looks like somebody has recently been cleaning them." 

Skylights: Commercial - Many of the same issues apply as the residential skylights noted above. What needs to be pointed out is that major commercial projects like convention centers, hotels, and shopping malls are being specified by architects to include more and more glass skylights. With the high cost of maintaining skylights in extremely difficult to access commercial locations, the maintenance reducing abilities of Diamon-Fusion® brings to the market a very viable solution.
