NEW PATENT PENDING IMPROVED COATING PROCESS
FOR GLASS, TILE, PORCELAIN, AND GRANITE.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, November 1998 - Diamon-Fusion® International, Inc. (DFI) announced today that it has received a patent pending for their newest addition to their award winning line of protective treatments.
This recently invented improvement marks a milestone in the quality of water repellent and scratch resistant mobile treatments. Invented this year by a member of DFI's R & D Dept., who holds a P.H.D. in Chemistry from UC Berkeley, the improvement is a technological marvel.
Adam Zax, President of DFI states, "While the reactions and processes are fairly complex, in layman's terms it makes the molecules in our imbedded diamond-like film, 100% water repellent. No other affordable and mobile treatment can truthfully make that claim." The improvement also increases the abrasion resistance making it more suitable to windshield applications where wiper blades may abrade the surface. The new treatment is now available to DFI's existing licensees as well as future ones.
The company's licensees have the ability to apply the treatments to new and existing glass and glazed surfaces in homes and businesses, as well as the ability to restore glass and tile to its' original appearance prior to treating it.

Diamon-Fusion® are proprietary processes (the first patent was issued in Sept. 97') of imbedding an optically clear 'diamond-like' material into the microscopic ridges of glass and glass glazed surfaces, creating a long lasting hydrophobic (water repellent) seal. The seal prevents surface damage and dramatically reduces the time required to maintain treated surfaces in residential, commercial, or industrial applications.
In addition to creating a water repellent surface, Diamon-Fusion® makes the glass harder to break or scratch, repels graffiti, and protects etched and sandblasted glass from the frequent and easy staining caused by handling or moisture. The process won KITCHEN & BATH BUSINESS MAGAZINE'S, 'INNOVATIVE PRODUCT OF THE YEAR AWARD'.
The Diamon-Fusion® process also creates an entire new genre of glass artwork. The treatment allows for the imbedding of 'Invisible Art'. What sounds like an oxymoron is actual the ability to put artwork or lettering on clear glass that only appears when the glass is steamed or misted. Adam Zax also stated, 'The 'Invisible Art Glass™' work is really something special. Homeowners are imbedding everything from whales and dolphins to 'Go Broncos!' to 'Clean your room when your done' on their kids shower doors. Hotels are planning to imbed their logos on the inside of their guest's shower doors with the words, 'Welcome Guests' above the logo. Other markets include restaurants and magicians.
Those companies and individuals who purchased the licenses have been supplied with a specially designed portable CVD (chemical vapor deposition) machine enabling them to safely and efficiently coat large areas of glass, tile, granite or porcelain on site or adapt to a fixed site chamber for large volumes.
